Scattered.....

Well thank you very much Congress for not passing the federal budget....it's not bad enough that you decided that federal employees should not get a cost of living increase for the next two years....or that military retirees did not receive a cost of living increase for the second straight year....but now I can't even get a new friggin' pencil because we're operating under a Continuing Resolution until you get off your asses and pass a budget!!!

Can you believe I didn't win Jumble Mash's first give-away....I'm afraid this may have an impact on her 2011 Christmas!!!  (Congrats Teresa)

It seems my life has come full circle....I'm 5'8ish...in viewing the date "requirements" on Match.com it seems most women want to date guys at least 5'10....so just like when I was a little kid, I'm not tall enough to ride the good rides :-)

BigSis called tonight...she's having some relationship issues and is a tad depressed so I offered some sage advice and offered to take her and JM to the Outlet Mall in the morning....shopping therapy works wonders :-)

The weather still sucks......I hate winter....please rescue me!

A Happy Weekend to all my friends :-)

You see, our government in OZ is just as inept. They want to put a tax levy on everyone to help with the flood clean up. Which sounds OK...but they are only really going to give money to people who didn't pay for insurance. So, what sort of incentive is that for those people who did pay for insurance? What is the point of paying all those insurance premiums if they are just going to screw you over and give money to people who didn't pay for insurance? Just sucks.

P.S. I am a teacher so I know all about government employees and buying stationery. We had to ration our toilet paper use at our school at the end of last year because we couldn't buy any more!!!

@Lottie....yep, let's bail out the people who didn't take care of themselves and tax those that did...I think politicians worldwide are brain damaged!

@Twilight....I've never been to Perth!!!

Oh JM, how exciting I think you are coming to Perth for a holiday... as Dad hasn't (technically) said no :).

the giveaway was totally a setup you should have won..lol..as for taller men 5'8 is perfect for short women like me and i agree winter can go now i'm ready for spring.

Don't even get me started on that whole political nightmare that never seems to end...

Remember that the average woman is 5'4 so you are perfect in height for plenty of women. And if it helps any, my sister is really hot and she married a dude that was just 5'3.

Hugs and happy weekend!

Bummer about the height requirement thing, but there are a lot of tall women out there nowadays! I'm just glad my SiL didn't have that requirement, though, otherwise she wouldn't have married my brother (they're about the same height). For some women it's important, others not so much. At least you're honest. I would be SO pissed if someone lied on their dating profile.

"Damn the man, Dad, Damn the man".

Congress is unable to come to an agreement? Oh, the horror. Maybe they would be more productive if they weren't always banging their over inflated heads together all of the time.

I also got snubbed by your daughter but I was beat fair and square. I came out of the gates like I stole something but pittered out shortly there after. Teresa is cool people so good for her.

I think that one month after new year should already be summer. So where the hell is it?

I'm sure they'll happily send you a crappy letter about xyz...but if they saved that money up they could send you a pencil with a bonus of a rubber! Shame they don't have me working there :P.

Aww too bad, I'll be doing something for make my day later maybe you'll have a chance of getting that. First I need to go to the bank and for some retail theraphy myself.

I forgot to say about match.com why would you want a giraffe as a partner...as most of these women will be short.

I am going to perth at Easter so if you get organised you can catch me and twilight. (dangerous combo tho)
My man is only 5'7" and I am only 5'2 which is the perfect difference I think. I dont have to stand on a step to kiss him.
Governments suck all over the world.

I don't think your government have the monopoly on being a bunch of eejits!!! Here in the UK it is run by a bunch of nit picking, back stabbing, juvenille and clueless idiots! and it's gonna get worse.

I think your height is just perfect as I am only 5ft 3 and a half...we could rescue each other especially if you offer retail therapy as a cure for a persons woes! Have a weekend :)

oops that was meant to be a "good" weekend lol

@Twilight....won't you be surprised when we knock on your door, looking for a place to sleep :-)

@becca...I'm thinking there should be an official investigation into JMs give away!

@Empress...you could have saved her for me!!! We could blog at family get togethers!

@Soapbox....yeah, women always say they want a guy that's honest and funny...I'm both...and alone...go figure :-)

@ib...you got it...damn the man! But it's our own damned fault...we put them there :-(

@Starlight...gret idea!

It was down in the low 20's this morning but I understand that we may get in to the high 50's by this afternoon. That will be awesome. We sure need a break as I feel the need to be rescued as well. Try to have a great weekend.

Remember those are wish lists Chief Dad...I only wanted rich men who were over 6'3". Instead I got a truck driver who is 6'2". You don't always get what you want. Your profile has to be kick ass so women will want to date you regarless of size. LIE if have to. Hahaha. What a good Dad you are. Shopping is always a good thing.

See, this is why I should run for Congress. I'm fairly sure that I am not an idiot. Or maybe I am and that is why I'll be elected and things will be all shiny and perfect. *cue hysterical laughter*

You know, I've heard a lot of people lie on that match.com stuff. Just sayin' They might SAY they are 5'10" but I bet they aren't. ;-)

I think you are just great.

Can't say much about the Government policies...but some lucky woman out there is going to fall for the 5'8 Dad...:) Happy weekend!

Chief aka Dad http://unsoundreasoning.blogspot.com said...

@Bubbles....I don't know why a woman wants such a tall guy...maybe she can't reach the stuff in her cabinets?

@Mynx...I told JM to start saving her pennies...we're going to go crash at Twilights place :-)

@lyndylou....sounds like a good rescue to me!!!

@CBG...it was a fun day...and the Coach store was happy to see my wallet!

@Odie...I agree...a breake wqould be nice...we're supposed to get another storm the middle of the week

@Barb...I was gonna post Brad Pitt's pic with my profile but thought that it might be just a little misleading :-)

@Tame One....thank you...and I'd vote for you!

@Blunders...lol, I'd fall off them and break a hip or something

@Caterpillar....someday....maybe....when JM puts me in a home :-)

Thank goodness that you're coming to California. The weather is a nice low 60's with hardly any fog and no rain except for today but next week is suppose to be nice.

I think we are all suffering the same problems and annoyances with fiscal policies and inept politicians. Don't let my husband get started he'll not stop for days again. he's only just calmed down from his last lot of ranting.
I also only wanted a man who was over 6 foot but Hubby is 5 foot 9 and shrinking each year so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Height doesn't really matter - after all I wouldn't be upset if Tom Cruise asked me out on a date.

Bubbles said...

Dad thats true I can't reach those things on a high shelf but those that are tall enough won't help like my husband for example.

I've created another postcard and I've decided I'll post it tomorrow night as it will give a chance for everyone else to first try and claim the one currently up... then this one. Hope its more manly.

By the way you should create a e-mail so that people like me can stalk you there when we want to ask you something :)

Shopping therapy, huh...I think I may have fallen in love with you...you don't mind that I'm married and have four kids, do you? I promise they won't disturb us while you're taking me out for shopping therapy.

G said...

I think all governments are inept... but there is that old saying that in a democracy the people get the government they deserve.

Jimmy said...

Yep it is strange that you didn't win JM's giveaway, man that just aint right, maybe after the shopping trip she will look at future giveaways a bit different :)

as a fellow 5'8ish'r the 5'10 requirement is just a conspiracy to get all the tall guys dated off, as for the men our height we have to settle for the smart, good looking ladies, who look at the real man and not the size up, so keep your chin up the right one is there my Friend.

Chief aka Dad http://unsoundreasoning.blogspot.com said...

@Angel...glad to hear it...I need some nice weather for a change!

@Comment Deleted....huh?

@Facing...you're so right about governments...we all suffer :-)

@Bubbles...that's mean that he won't help you get the stuff on the high shelves!!! You can stalk me at unsoundreasoning@gmail.com

@Sandra...as long as hubby pays his half, I don't mind you being married...and kids are fine as long as they don't clack :-) Oh, and the shopping therapy went very well!

@G...unfortunately, you are correct...we have no one to blame but ourselves

@Jimmy....I may have to ground her :-)

@Mrs. Hyde...you are sooooo right ;-)
