Insert Catchy Title Here

Shopping therapy went well yesterday...it was really nice to spend some quality time with BigSis and Jumble Mash, unfortunately LilSis had other plans...we don't get to do it near as often as I'd like.  I'm really proud of the women my girls have grown into and I love seeing them succeed at being adults....but I sure miss the days when I was the most important person in their lifes :-)  I know, it's selfish...so sue me!

The Coach store welcomed us with open arms...and a lady with a calculator to help us with the "discounts"...how sweet :-)  JM got a purse....which she assures me is awesome (purses are one of the topics I just don't "get") and a very cute hat and Big Sis got a purse.  As we were leaving, BigSis shared that she has a tote full of Coach purses!!!

JM found a great deal on underwear...now she doesn't have to do laundry for another week :-)  Psst...don't tell her I said that!!!  She also got a cute sweater and some socks.  BigSis drug me into a perfume store...I don't know if my nose will ever recover...or my wallet...that crap is expensive!!!

It was so nice just being with them and talking and laughing (because they are crackheads)...and then we finished off the day with fine dining at my favorite eatery...Waffle House!!!  I love a place that has absolutely nothing healthy on the menu!  Mmmmm, Mmmmm good!

Looks like I'll putting in some extra hours at work this week....heading to California next week and have lots to get done before going.  I need a Sugarmama to take me away from all of this :-)

Hope everyone has a Monday so good that it makes the news !!!

Waffle house...mmmmmmmm! My girls say that my camera bag is my version of a purse because I take it everywhere and I has all sorts of junk in it. If they had any idea how much the "junk" in my "purse" cost they would have strokes. All that money wasted on "Daddy junk" would have paid for a lot of purses and that chemical warfare stuff they dowse themselves in. It just sets my allergies off so I stay upwind if at all possible.

I know we're the same age but couldn't we pretend I'm your daughter so we can go shopping too?! What a good daddy.

@Rocket Man....good job in filling your "purse"!!! I asked the girl working in the perfume store how she could stand it...she said she just got used to it!

@Barb...sure, jump in the car!

I don't enjoy shopping so I definitely wouldn't want to be your daughter... wait maybe I could just take the cash?! Just kidding, I'm sure you're a great dad, hell my sisters would have a field day with your shopping therapy. Glad you got to spend time with them :D

Can you be my dad please? We don't have a Waffle House in Australia, but I do love waffles with a deep and abiding passion - my mum bought me a waffle iron because I kept going on about how amazing they are! And I use it ALL THE TIME!

Waffles and shopping? That's all my dreams come true! Yum yum :)

I liked the part about Waffle House since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Now, shopping has never been in my vocabulary as my family can relate to. Have an awesome monday and a safe trip.

You are like the best Dad in the world. There would be no way that my Dad would take me shopping like you took your girls.

If he happens to be with Mom and I near a mall, he waits in the truck.

Man, it looks like I'm going to be getting a lot more siblings!

The shopping was a blast. Thanks for inviting me. Also everyone, I got SIX pair of panties and THREE pairs of fuzzy socks for $7.00. I felt like I was robbing them.

Oh how lucky are both of them but I guess next time you go pearls will be on the list. I did go to the city but didn't end up buying anything at all...just because I didn't need anything. I did see this most adorable purse too though shaped like an owl but I wondered if maybe now that I'm close to 30 I'm too old for it?... who knows. I also returned a pair of shoes I bought... yeah I know a girlie that actually takes back shoes rather then hoards them but I thought I was going to fall over when wearing them.

I've never had waffles so I'm really curious about it now. Well I'll stop waffling too.

@CBG.....I hate to admit it but it was my idea!

@Twilight...awwwwww, that's sweet...thanks

@JM...sounds like we'll need extra stockings for Christmas this year!

@Bruce...open one here too and I'll be your best customer! The closest one to us is about an hour away

@Starlight...I sincerely do enjoy spending any time I can with my girls...even if they're PMSing :-)

@Facing50...you're not even old enuf to be my older sister!!!

@Bubbles...you should have bought the owl purse...you are never to old to have fun :-) Waffles are good!

Chief, I am sitting here, tearing up because one day, my little girl will be a woman and I will have that same feeling of "finishing in 2nd place" when it comes to their needs.

I'll go now, I think that I am flooding your VW bus. Be well and be safe on your trip.

Chief aka Dad http://unsoundreasoning.blogspot.com said...

@ib...I won't lie, it sucks...but it's bittersweet because you'll be soooo proud of her....and no one will be worthy of her in your eyes...but I don't think you can avoid it
