Symbols

Isn't it amazing how much meaning we can attach to a symbol...and how different the meaning can be for each of us?  Here are some of the symbols that are important to me.

What symbols are important to you?

Tried to post actual pics in the comments, but of course I couldn't, clueless blogger that I am. Here's what I would have posted: wedding bands, Madonna and child, pentacle, and Venus.

Yours are all honourable ones related to your country, mine would probably be food products :|! Plus the Yorkshire Rose as its where I'm from, Plus the ugly maroon and yellow of the football shirts....

I guess Hubby would want the three pointed star that's on his car. I'm with Bouncin'Barb and the neon Heineken light.

Hey Dad is it possible to post pictures of anything in a comment box? I don't know either. For me it would be the American flag and the cross, empty of course, symbolizing my Lord rose and is alive for ever more.

the American flag, the cross (empty - as Odie said), the Bible, wedding ring. the Navy emblem since that's the branch of the military my kids served in.

Since I am a Christian I would probably put the cross up first. The American Flag would come next. My oldest grandson is an officer in the Army and my oldest granddaughter is an enlisted member of the Air Force so those two symbols would follow. If there was a symbol for how proud I am of my children or how great it is to be a grandmother I would have to say they would be in there too!

Hmm....the first thing to come up in my mind was the symbol for peace....dove with an olive branch. I think I'll stick with hednethat.
